이데자와 다케시 라인야후 최고경영자(CEO)는 지난달 결산 설명회에서 “네이버에 대한 업무위탁 종료를 순차적으로 추진할 것”이라며 “(네이버와) 기술적 협력관계에서 독립을 추진할 것”이라고 밝힌 바 있다.그는 당시 위탁 종료의 구체적인 시점은 제시하지 않고 “7월 중 발표할 것”이라고 언급했다.

이번 보고는 일본 개인정보보호위원회가 지난 3월 기술적 안전관리 미비점과 조직적 안전관리 미비점을 신속하게 시정하고 진행 상황을 보고하도록 권고한 데 따른 것이다.일본 총무성은 개인정보보호위원회와 별도로 지난 3월5일과 4월16일 두차례에 걸쳐 라인야후에 대해 행정지도를 내리면서 네이버와의 지분관계 재검토를 요구했다.총무성이 요구한 보고 시한은 오는 7월1일까지다.
