(서울=연합뉴스) 강애란 기자 = 신세계사이먼은 오는 9월 부산 프리미엄 아울렛을 개점 이후 11년 만에 처음으로 대규모 리뉴얼(재단장)해 문을 연다고 27일 밝혔다.

2013년 8월 개점한 부산점은 연간 약 450만명이 찾는 쇼핑 장소로 신세계사이먼은 이번 리뉴얼을 통해 부산·울산·경남 지역을 아우르는 새로운 쇼핑 랜드마크로 도약하겠다는 계획이다.

먼저 아웃렛 면적을 1.54배 확장한다.2013년 개점 당시 면적 3만3천100㎡(1만평)를 5만1천480㎡(1만5천500평)로 넓힌다.이는 수도권 주력 점포인 여주점과 파주점과 비슷한 규모다.

면적을 확장하면서 나이키 팩토리 스토어를 비수도권 최대 규모인 1천752㎡(530평) 규모로 다시 문을 연다.또 골프 전문관을 전국 최대 규모인 5천289㎡(1천600평)로 조성한다.

브랜드도 100여개를 새로 추가해 270여개로 늘리고,프로야구 갤러리유명 맛집인 클랩피자와 소이연남 등 식음료 브랜드 11곳을 유통사 최초로 부산에 선보인다.

이번 리뉴얼에는 세계 최고층 빌딩인 두바이 부르즈 할리파 사업을 총괄한 글로벌 기업 아카디스(ARCADIS)가 참여해 프리미엄 공간을 선보이는 데 공을 들였다고 신세게사이먼은 설명했다.

야외형 아웃렛의 강점을 극대화하기 위해 공용공간에는 녹지공간과 휴게공간을 50% 이상 확보했다.또 유럽의 관광명소를 모티브로 조성한 특화 공간도 마련했다.

김영섭 신세계사이먼 대표이사는 "브랜드부터 공간과 콘텐츠까지 지역 최고 수준을 선보이기 위해 모든 역량을 동원했다"며 "부·울·경 지역을 대표하는 쇼핑 랜드마크로 도약할 것"이라고 말했다.
