정부가 오늘(1일)부터 소폭 인상을 고려했던 민수용 도시가스 요금에 대한 인상을 일단 보류했습니다.

현재 주택용 도시가스 도매 요금은 MJ(메가줄)당 19.4원입니다.

가스공사는 러시아·우크라이나 전쟁으로 국제 에너지 가격이 상승한 상황에서 원가의 80∼90％ 수준으로 가스를 공급하고 있습니다.

정부는 1년 넘게 동결한 가스요금 인상이 필요하다고 보고 있지만 물가에 끼칠 영향 등을 고려해 신중한 입장을 보이고 있습니다.

13조 5천억원에 달하는 미수금을 해결하기 위해 정부가 인상을 결정하면 9월 1일 전에라도 요금을 올릴 수 있습니다.
