지인을 성폭행하고 목 졸라 살해한 50대 남성이 재판에 넘겨졌다.

창원지검 통영지청 형사2부(부장 송인호)는 지인을 성폭행한 후 살해한 혐의(성폭력범죄의 처벌 등에 관한 특례법상 강간 등 살인)로 50대 A씨를 구속기소했다고 16일 밝혔다.

A씨는 지난 13일 경남 거제시 50대 피해자 B씨 집에서 함께 술을 마시다 B씨를 성폭행한 후 목을 졸라 살해한 혐의를 받는다.

A씨는 B씨 성폭행 후 범행이 들킬 것을 우려해 살인을 저지른 것으로 나타났다.

이후 도주 행각을 벌이던 A씨는 지난 20일 오후 전북 전주시 한 갓길에 주차된 차량을 훔쳐 달아났다가 다음날 전북 경찰에 붙잡혔다.

검찰 관계자는 “향후 A씨에게 죄에 상응하는 처벌이 이뤄질 수 있도록 공소 유지에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

검찰은 B씨 유족에 장례비와 생계비 등을 지원했으며 향후 심리치료 연계와 유족 구조금 지원 등의 보호와 지원활동을 이어갈 계획이다.
