28일(현지시간) 버라이어티와 데드라인 등 현지 매체 보도에 따르면 '인사이드 아웃 2'는 이날 기준 전세계 영화관에서 8억6310만달러(약 1조1928억원)의 티켓 수입을 올렸다.

이는 지난 2015년 개봉한 1편의 총 티켓 수입 8억5885만달러(약 1조1869억원)보다 많다.이 추세를 이어갈 경우 '인사이드 아웃 2'는 올해 처음으로 전 세계 수입 10억달러(약 1조 3820억원)를 돌파하는 영화가 될 것으로 전망되고 있다.

이미 북미 시장에서는 지난 14일 개봉 이후 4억1180만달러(약 5691억원)를 벌어 들여 지난 2013년 개봉한 '겨울왕국'(북미 총수입 4억95만달러)을 앞질렀다.

이날까지 올린 수입을 기준으로는 역대 애니메이션 흥행 수입 19위에 올랐다.버라이어티는 "전 세계 영화 산업이 크게 위축된 상황에서 '인사이드 아웃 2'의 성과는 주목할 만하다"라고 평가했다.
