현대자동차그룹이 서울 강남에 들어설 예정인 '글로벌 비즈니스 콤플렉스(GBC)'와 관련 설계 변경안을 철회하고 새로운 안을 마련하기로 했습니다.

오늘(8일) 서울시에 따르면 현대차그룹은 이런 내용이 담긴 공문을 지난 5일 시에 제출했습니다.

해당 공문에는 GBC를 105층이 아닌 55층 2개 동으로 짓겠다는 설계 변경안을 철회하고,캘리그라피공공성과 디자인을 보완하겠다는 내용이 담긴 것으로 전해졌습니다.

또 현대차그룹은 연내 새로운 계획을 마련해 시와 재협상에 나서겠다는 입장을 전했습니다.

앞서 현대차그룹과 서울시는 GBC 설계 변경안을 두고 줄다리기를 벌여왔습니다.

이견의 핵심은 GBC 최고층 빌딩 층수입니다.

현대차그룹이 애초 105층 초고층 빌딩을 지으려던 계획을 55층 2개 동으로 바꾸겠다고 설계안을 변경하자,캘리그라피인허가 주체인 시는 이를 수용하지 않겠다며 제동을 건 상태입니다.

기존 설계를 대폭 변경하려면 협상을 다시 진행해야 한다는 게 시의 입장입니다.
