대전시의회는 10일 재적의원 22명이 참석한 가운데 제280회 임시회 제2차 본회의를 열어 의장선출을 위한 투표를 벌였다.

1,2차 투표에서 과반 득표자가 나오지 않자 의회는 다득표 1,2위인 조원휘·박주화 후보 양자간 결선 투표를 치렀다.그 결과 조원휘 의원 15표,fc 서울 대 울산 현대 축구단 통계박주화 후보 7표를 얻었다.

조 의원은 당선 인사를 통해 "9회말 2사 만루에 빗맞은 안타를 친 기분"이라는 복잡한 심경을 전하며 "막중한 책임감을 느낀다.어렵게 된 만큼 더 잘하겠다"고 했다.
