[헤럴드경제=김성훈 기자] 허위 사실로 확인된 송영길 소나무당 대표의 베트남 성매매 의혹을 언급한 유튜브 채널 가로세로연구소(가세연)가 송 대표에게 1000만원을 배상해야 한다고 법원이 판결했다.

서울중앙지법 민사합의25부(부장 송승우)는 28일 송 대표가 가세연과 김세의 가세연 대표,둔산동 야구강용석 변호사를 상대로 낸 소송에서 "피고들은 공동해 원고에게 1천만원을 지급하라"며 원고 일부승소로 판결했다.

재판부는 구체적인 판결 이유를 법정에서 설명하진 않았다.

송 대표의 베트남 성매매 의혹은 2010년 지방선거를 앞두고 백석두 전 인천시장 후보가 경쟁 후보였던 송 대표를 상대로 제기했다가 허위로 판명된 것이다.당시 백 전 후보는 "송 후보가 2004년 8월 베트남에서 미성년자와 성매매를 한 혐의로 베트남 공안당국에 단속되자 대사관을 통해 무마했다"고 의혹을 제기했으나 대법원에서 허위사실로 인정돼 처벌받았다.그러나 현재까지도 일부 보수세력들은 송 대표를 '송트남'(송 대표의 이름과 베트남을 합성한 말)이라는 말로 조롱하고 있다.

가세연 역시 2021년 12월 말 이 의혹을 다시 들추는 영상을 올렸다.김 대표와 강 변호사는 영상에 출연했다.

송 대표는 영상이 자신에 대한 모욕적 허위사실을 담고 있다며 7억원 상당의 손해배상 청구 소송을 내고 영상물 게재 금지 가처분도 신청했다.

2022년 3월 가처분 재판부는 영상이 이미 삭제됐다는 이유로 신청을 기각했다.해당 판결에서도 송 대표에 관한 의혹은 허위라고 인정했다.
