(서울=뉴스1) 최동현 기자 = 포스코청암재단은 다리에서 투신하려던 남성을 붙잡아 생명을 구한 포항중앙여자고등학교 3학년 김은우(18) 양을 포스코히어로즈로 선정하고 상패와 장학금을 전달했다고 11일 밝혔다.

김 양은 지난달 12일 오후 9시쯤 귀가 도중 포항 형산강 연일대교에서 뛰어내리려던 40대 남성 A 씨를 발견하고 붙잡은 뒤 경찰에 신고했다.김 양은 경찰이 도착할 때까지 '제발 살아달라'며 A 씨를 설득했다고 한다.

포스코히어로즈펠로십은 국가와 사회정의를 위해 살신성인의 자세로 자신을 희생한 의인이나 의인의 자녀가 안정적으로 학업을 계속할 수 있도록 장학금을 지원하는 사업이다.
