(무주=연합뉴스) 임채두 기자 = 영·호남 8개 지자체가 8일 지방분권 강화와 지역 균형발전에 다 함께 노력하기로 뜻을 모았다.

전북,전남,경북,레알사라고사경남,부산,대구,광주,레알사라고사울산은 이날 전북 무주 태권도원에서 '제18회 영·호남 시도지사 협력회의'를 열었다.

이날 회의는 지역 균형발전 등을 위한 10대 분야 공동 대응 성명서 발표,차기 의장 선출 등으로 진행됐다.

지자체들은 지방의 현실을 가장 잘 아는 지방정부가 지역 발전을 주도해야 하고 지방정부 간 협력이 필요하다는 데 공감해 8건의 공동 정책 협력 과제,2건의 지역 균형발전 건의 과제를 채택했다.

협력 과제는 ▲ 가업상속 공제 대상 확대 ▲ 지역 기후대응 기금 국가 지원 ▲ 저출생 대응을 위한 협력 및 재정지원 확대 ▲ 지방재정 위기 극복 대책 마련 공동 대응 ▲ 그린벨트 지역 전략사업 대체지 지정 요건 완화 ▲ 사회보장제도 신설·변경 협의 개선 등 8건이다.

또 건의 과제는 ▲ 영·호남 광역 도로망 구축(울산∼양산 고속도로 건설,전주∼대구 고속도로 건설) ▲ 영·남 광역철도망 건설(울산∼전주 고속철도 연계,전주∼김천 영호남 내륙 철도 건설 등) 등이다.

이와 함께 시도별로 계획 중인 제22차 세계한인비즈니스 대회,전주세계소리축제 등 주요 행사 14건의 성공 개최를 지원하기로 약속했다.

아울러 영·호남 시도지사 협력회의 차기 의장은 박완수 경남도지사가 맡기로 했다.

임기는 1년이다.

현 의장인 김관영 전북도지사는 "영·호남 교류를 통해 실질적이고 깊이 있는 협력이 이뤄져야 한다"며 "본격적인 지방시대를 열어 대한민국의 변화를 이끌어가자"고 제안했다.

영·호남 시도지사 협력회의는 1998년 영남과 호남의 친선 교류,레알사라고사상생 협력을 위해 출범했으며 연 1회 만남을 이어가고 있다.
