연말까지 안동 임하댐 수면에 47㎿ 태양광 발전시설 구축

(세종=연합뉴스) 차대운 기자 = 한국수력원자력(한수원)은 11일 대전 한국수자원공사 본사에서 공동 사업주인 수자원공사와 경북 안동시 임하댐 수상 태양광 사업 주주 간 협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

두 기관은 자본금 출자와 지역사회 이익 공유를 위한 마을 법인 구성,복권 당첨 꿈해몽프로젝트 금융 체결 등 후속 절차를 진행하기로 했다.

임하댐 수상 태양광 사업은 732억원을 투입해 올해 12월까지 임하댐 수면에 47㎿(메가와트) 규모의 수상 태양광 발전 시설을 구축하는 사업이다.

수상 태양광은 수면 위에 뜨는 부력체 위에 태양 전지판을 설치해 전기를 생산하는 방식이다.

국내에서는 태양광 발전을 위한 경제성 있는 대규모 부지를 찾는 게 쉽지 않아 수상 태양광이 하나의 대안으로 주목받고 있다.

이 사업이 완료되면 국내 최대 규모의 수상 태양광 시설이 될 전망이다.발전 시설 반경 1㎞ 이내 33개 마을 4천500여명의 지역 주민이 재무적 투자자로 사업에 함께 참여해 수익의 일부를 공유받을 예정이다.

이 지역은 국내 첫 번째 신재생에너지 집적화 단지로 지정돼 신재생에너지공급인증서(REC) 추가 부여 등의 혜택을 받을 수 있다.
