[서울=뉴시스]이창훈 기자 = 현대차(제네시스 포함)와 기아가 '전기차 안심 점검 서비스'를 실시한다고 13일 밝혔다.

현대차·기아의 전국 서비스 거점을 방문한 전기차 보유 고객을 대상으로 전기차를 무상 점검하는 서비스다.

현대차·기아는 최근 전기차 화재 발생 우려가 높아진 상황에서 전기차에 대한 고객들의 불안감을 해소하고 안전 주행을 돕기 위해 이번 서비스를 마련했다.

점검 대상은 현대차·기아·제네시스 승용 및 소형 상용 전기차 등 전 차종이다.

▲절연 저항 ▲전압 편차 ▲냉각 시스템 ▲연결 케이블 및 커넥터 손상 여부 ▲하체 충격이나 손상 여부 ▲고장 코드 발생 유무 등 전기차 안전과 관련된 9개 항목을 검사한다.

이용을 원하는 고객은 각사 고객센터를 통해 원하는 일정과 장소를 선택해 예약하면 된다.

현대차(제네시스 포함) 고객은 전국 22개 직영 하이테크센터 및 1234개 블루핸즈에서 이용할 수 있다.

기아 고객은 전국 18개 직영 서비스센터 및 757개 오토큐에서 점검이 가능하다.

현대차·기아 관계자는 "이번 점검을 통해 전기차에 대한 불안감을 해소하고 고객이 안전하게 주행할 수 있도록 지원하겠다"고 말했다.
