17일부터 어린이집과 유치원,당근 토토 먹튀초·중·고교 시설의 경계로부터 30m까지 각각 금연구역으로 지정된다.금연구역에서 흡연하다 적발되면 10만원 이하 과태료가 부과된다.

보건복지부는 금연구역 확대·신설 방안을 담은 국민건강증진법 개정안이 1년간 시행 유예를 거쳐 17일부터 시행된다고 15일 밝혔다.이에 따라 어린이집,당근 토토 먹튀유치원에 지정된 금연구역은 주변 10m에서 30m 이내로 확대된다.별도 금연구역이 설정되지 않았던 초·중·고교는 학교 시설로부터 30m 이내까지 금연구역으로 새로 지정된다.지정 대상은 2023년 기준 전국 유치원과 초·중·고교 3만7395곳,당근 토토 먹튀어린이집 2만8954곳이다.

각 지방자치단체는 금연구역으로 정해진 어린이집·유치원과 초·중·고교 인근에 안내 표지를 설치할 계획이다.건물 담장,당근 토토 먹튀벽면,당근 토토 먹튀보도 등에 부착해 금연구역을 표시할 예정이다.복지부와 한국건강증진개발원도 홍보물을 제작해 대국민 홍보를 진행한다.

배경택 복지부 건강정책국장은 “교육시설 주변의 금연구역을 확대하는 조치는 간접흡연으로부터 아동과 청소년을 보호하고 건강 증진을 도모하기 위한 것”이라며 “금연 환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
