지난해 폐업 신고를 한 사업자가 역대 최대 폭으로 증가하면서 연간 100만명에 육박한 것으로 나타났습니다.특히 '사업 부진'을 이유로 한 폐업이 큰 폭으로 늘었습니다.
15일 국세청 국세 통계에 따르면 지난해 사업을 접고 폐업 신고를 한 사업자(개인·법인)는 98만6천487명으로 집계됐습니다. 전년(86만7천292명)보다 11만9천195명 증가한 것으로 2006년 관련 통계 집계 이후 가장 많습니다.
폐업자 수는 2020∼2022년 80만명대를 유지하다가 지난해 100만명 턱밑까지 수직 상승했습니다. 폐업 사유별로 보면 '사업 부진'이 48만2천183명으로 가장 많았습니다. 금융위기 당시인 2007년(48만8천792명) 이후 역대 두 번째로 많은 것입니다. 전년(40만6천225명)과 비교하면 7만5천958명(18.7%) 늘어난 것으로 역대 최대 폭 증가입니다.
사업 부진 외에 폐업 사유로는 기타(45만1천203명),토끼 흑표범양도·양수(4만369건),토끼 흑표범법인전환(4천685건) 등이 뒤를 이었습니다.
업종별로 보면 소매업 폐업이 27만6천535명으로 가장 많았고 서비스업(21만7천821명),토끼 흑표범음식업(15만8천279명) 등 내수와 직접적으로 연관된 업종의 타격이 큰 것으로 분석됐습니다.
부동산임대업(9만4천330명),토끼 흑표범건설업(4만8천608명) 등 지난해 경기가 좋지 않았던 부동산 관련 폐업자도 많았습니다.
