미래에셋,2018 월드컵 조별순위나스닥ETF 상장

미국 대표 기술주의 상승곡선을 90% 가까이 따라가는 동시에 월 분배금까지 챙길 수 있는 상장지수펀드(ETF)가 나온다.최근 자산운용사들의 잇따른 참전으로 8조원 규모로 커진 월배당 ETF 시장 경쟁이 향후 더욱 치열해질 전망이다.24일 미래에셋자산운용은 서울 을지로에서 기자간담회를 열고 25일 거래소에 상장하는 'TIGER 미국나스닥100+15%프리미엄초단기' ETF를 소개했다.이 ETF는 미국 대표 지수인 나스닥100에 투자하면서 연 15%의 배당수익률을 목표로 하는 월배당 커버드콜 ETF다.

커버드콜이란 주식을 보유한 상태에서 콜옵션을 다소 비싼 가격에 팔아 위험을 안정적으로 회피하는 전략을 말한다.이 전략을 쓰는 ETF가 추종하는 지수가 하락할 경우 콜옵션을 매도하면서 받은 프리미엄만큼 손실이 보전된다.문제는 시장이 하락할 경우 주가하락 리스크를 줄일 수 있지만,2018 월드컵 조별순위반대로 시장이 상승할 때는 이 전략 탓에 상방이 막혀 수익률이 제한된다는 것이다.

TIGER 미국나스닥100+15%프리미엄초단기 ETF는 이 같은 기존 커버드콜 종목의 단점을 '초단기(Daily) 옵션'과 '타깃 프리미엄' 전략으로 보완했다.초단기 옵션은 기존에 월간 또는 주간 단위로 만기가 형성됐던 것과 달리 하루가 만기인 옵션을 거래하는 것을 말한다.현재 미국 시장에서 S&P500과 나스닥100 관련 옵션 거래량의 절반 이상이 이 같은 초단기 옵션인 만큼 옵션 거래 유동성과 효율성 확보가 가능하다는 게 미래에셋 측 설명이다.타깃 프리미엄은 주식과 옵션을 동일한 비중으로 사고파는 기존 커버드콜 ETF와 달리 옵션 매도 비중을 10% 이하로 줄이고,2018 월드컵 조별순위나머지 90%는 나스닥100지수 상승에 참여하도록 설계하는 전략이다.
