일본 후생노동성이 8일 발표한 '5월 근로통계조사'(속보치)에 따르면 직원 5명 이상 업체의 노동자 1인당 월평균 급여는 29만7천151엔(약 255만원)으로 작년 같은 달보다 1.9% 증가했다.

그러나 물가 변동을 고려한 실질임금은 오히려 1.4% 줄었다.

이로써 실질임금은 26개월째 감소세를 이었다.

실질임금 연속 감소는 올해 3월부터 매달 역대 최장 기록을 새로 쓰고 있다.

일본 정부의 기업 독려로 임금이 오르고 있기는 하지만 물가 상승 폭에는 못 미치는 데 따른 것이다.

후생노동성은 "임금 인상 움직임이 확산하고 있지만 물가 급등 영향이 강해 실질 임금 감소세가 이어졌다"고 설명했다.
