방송통신위원회는 김홍일 방통송신원회 위원장이 오늘(2일) 사퇴함에 따라 이상인 부위원장 직무대행 체제로 전환했다고 밝혔습니다.

방통위는 방송통신위원회의 설치 및 운영에 관한 법률 및 방송통신위원회 회의운영에 관한 규칙에 따라 이 부위원장이 위원장 직무를 대행한다고 설명했습니다.

방통위 설치법 제6조 제4항은 위원장이 부득이한 사유로 직무를 수행할 수 없을 때에는 부위원장과 위원회가 미리 정한 위원 순으로 그 직무를 대행한다고 명시했습니다.

방통위 운영규칙 제5조 제2항은 위원장이 부득이한 사유로 직무를 수행할 수 없을 때에는 위원회 부위원장,고스톱 점보기위원 중 연장자 순으로 각각 그 직무를 대행한다고 규정하고 있습니다.

이 부위원장이 위원장 직무대행을 맡는 것은 김효재 전 위원장 직무대행 퇴임 이후와 이동관 전 위원장 사퇴 이후,고스톱 점보기그리고 이번까지 모두 세 차례입니다.
