전주월드컵경기장 주차 - 2024년 실시간 업데이트

내년까지 총 3곳 지정…"연내 차세대 원자력 인력양성 추진계획 마련"

(서울=연합뉴스) 조승한 기자 = 차세대 원자로 분야 석·박사급 인재를 양성하는 차세대 원자력 전문인력 양성센터가 서울대에 처음 개소했다.

과학기술정보통신부는 이창윤 1차관이 2일 서울 관악구 서울대에서 열린 양성센터 개소 행사와 전국 원자력 학과장 협의회와의 간담회에 참석했다고 밝혔다.

센터는 주관 대학을 중심으로 기업 수요를 반영한 문제 해결 프로그램을 운영하고,전주월드컵경기장 주차정부 출연기관이나 기업에서 진행 중인 미래 원자로 시스템 설계에도 참여하게 된다.

내년까지 3개 센터를 지정하며 센터당 5년간 매년 14억원 내외를 지원한다.

올해는 서울대 '차세대 고온 원자력 시스템 융복합 인력양성 센터'가 첫 센터로 지정됐다.

이 센터는 차세대 비경수형 원자로 중 하나인 초고온가스로(VHTR) 요소기술과 전력 변환 시스템,전주월드컵경기장 주차열을 활용한 응용 분야 등을 개발하고 인력도 양성한다.

초고온가스로는 헬륨을 냉각재로 사용하는 원자로로 900~1천℃ 열 생산을 통해 수소와 전력을 생산하는 용도 등으로 활용될 전망이다.

이 차관은 이날 국내 17개 원자력 관련 주요 대학으로 구성된 협의회와도 간담회를 갖고 인력양성 현황을 공유했다고 과기정통부는 밝혔다.

이 차관은 "올해 안으로 범부처 '차세대원자력 인력양성 추진계획'을 마련해 연구와 산업 분야 수요·공급을 장기적으로 예측하고 현 사업 중 부족한 점을 면밀하게 분석해 인력양성 성과를 극대화하겠다"고 말했다.
