[부산=뉴시스]권태완 기자 = 부산시는 올해 하반기부터 전국 최초로 전기자동차 '지역할인제'를 시행한다고 15일 밝혔다.

전기자동차 지역할인제는 부산시민이 지역할인제에 참여하는 전기자동차 제작·수입사의 전기자동차를 구매하면 제작·수입사가 50만원을 할인해 주고 시가 50만원의 구매보조금을 추가로 지원하는 제도다.

이 제도는 전기자동차 보급 확대로 부산의 대기환경을 개선해 탄소중립을 실현하고 시민의 경제적 부담을 완화하기 위해 마련됐다.기존 구매보조금에서 100만원을 추가로 지원받을 수 있다.

전기자동차 지역할인제에 참여하는 제작·수입사는 ▲현대자동차 ▲지에스(GS)글로벌 ▲일진정공 ▲이브이케이엠씨다.

시는 생계용 자동차를 전기자동차로 구매하는 택시 운전사,스포츠라이브소상공인을 위해 지역할인제 대상 택시용 승용차와 화물차를 구매하면 구매보조금 50만원을 추가로 지원한다.

지역할인제 신청은 환경부 저공해자동차 구매보조금 시스템에서 대상 차량의 구매보조금을 신청할 때 함께 할 수 있다.

시는 하반기 전기자동차 5032대(승용차 3029대·화물차 1807대·버스 196대)에 구매보조금을 지원한다.지원 금액은 승용차 1대당 최대 950만원,스포츠라이브화물차 1대당 최대 1500만원이다.

이병석 부산시 환경물정책실장은 "전국 최초로 시행하는 전기자동차 지역할인제가 시민의 경제적 부담을 완화하고 부산이 탄소중립 선도 도시로 나아가는 데 이바지할 것으로 기대한다"고 말했다.
