서울동부지검 형사3부(김지용 부장검사)는 2일 대마 성분이 든 젤리를 지인들에게 제공한 혐의(마약류관리법 위반)로 대학원생 A(26)씨를 구속 기소했다.

검찰에 따르면 A씨는 지난해 12월 서울 마포구 클럽 인근에서 신원미상 외국인에게 받은 대마 젤리 약 20개 중 일부를 먹거나 지인들에게 건넨 혐의를 받는다.

A씨는 해외 유학생활을 했다는 공통점을 매개로 친분을 쌓은 이전 직장동료들에게 대마 젤리를 제공한 것으로 조사됐다.

이들 중 한 명인 B씨는 “기분이 좋아지는 것”이라며 대학 동기 3명에게 대마 젤리를 다시 나눠준 혐의로 지난 5월 구속기소됐다.젤리를 먹고 어지럼증을 호소한 2명은 119에 신고해 병원으로 옮겨져 치료를 받았다.

최근 마약 확산세가 가팔라지며 마약류 성분이 든 젤리나 쿠키 등에 대한 우려도 커지고 있다.겉모양만으로는 마약류인지 알기 어렵기 때문에 의도치 않게 마약에 노출될 수 있다.
