이재명 전 더불어민주당 대표를 해치러 가겠다며 낫을 들고 지구대를 찾은 70대 남성이 경찰에 붙잡혔다.

서울 서부경찰서는 특수공무집행방해 혐의로 70대 남성 A씨를 입건해 수사 중이라고 5일 밝혔다.

A씨는 전날인 4일 오후 4시 40분쯤 서울 은평구의 한 지구대에‘이재명을 해치러 가겠다’는 취지로 말하며 낫을 들고 찾아간 혐의를 받는다.이 과정에서 다친 경찰관은 없었다.

범행 당시 A씨는 술에 취한 상태였으며 정당 관련성은 없는 것으로 조사됐다.그는 지구대 인근 철물점에서 낫을 미리 구입한 것으로 알려졌다.

경찰은 조사를 마친 뒤 전날 A씨를 석방했다.
