[세종=뉴시스]이승주 기자 = 인공지능(AI)을 기반으로 로봇·장비 등을 제조 공정에 결합하는 'AI자율제조 사업'이 본격 추진된다.올해에만 관련 프로젝트 지원에 100억원 넘는 정부 자금이 투입된다.

산업통상자원부는 'AI 자율제조 전략 1.0'의 핵심 정책인 AI자율제조 10대 선도프로젝트 선정작업에 본격 착수했다고 17일 밝혔다.

지난달 산업부는 'AI자율제조 전략 1.0' 이후 현장조사와 지방자치단체 및 연구소 간담회 등으로 10대 선도사업이 될 수 있는 후보 사업들을 40개 이상 비공식 발굴했다.후보 사업에는 반도체와 자동차,신당 브릭하우스조선,이차전지,신당 브릭하우스기계,신당 브릭하우스디스플레이 등 주력업종이 포함됐다.

산업부는 이를 바탕으로 지난 5일부터 공식 수요 조사에 착수했다.이달 말까지 수요 조사를 끝낸 뒤 다음달 과제 공고,신당 브릭하우스오는 8월 최종평가를 거쳐 10대 선도프로젝트를 최종 확정할 계획이다.

산업부는 선정된 사업 관련 소프트웨어와 하드웨어,통합시스템(SI) 등 개발과 구축을 맞춤형으로 지원한다.올해에만 100억원 넘는 예산을 투입한다.이번 성과를 바탕으로 오는 2028년까지 지원대상을 200개 이상으로 확대할 방침이다.

산업부 관계자는 "인구구조 변화와 생산성 저하 등 우리 제조업이 직면한 난제를 극복하기 위해 AI자율제조 등으로 제조업 생산 함수의 혁신은 선택이 아닌 필수"라며 "선도프로젝트를 강력히 추진하며 제조업 대전환을 선도하겠다"고 말했다.
