KBS 1TV는 이날 오전 0시부터‘KBS중계석’프로그램을 통해 대한민국 오페라 페스티벌‘나비부인’을 방송했다.

이 공연은 지난 6월 예술의전당에서 공연했던 내용을 녹화해 방송한 것이다.

나비부인은 이탈리아의 유명 작곡가로 토스카,라 보엠 등을 만든 푸치니의 동명 장편소설을 원작으로 한 오페라 공연이다.

이 작품은 2차세계대전 당시 히로시마와 함께 원자폭탄이 투하됐던 항구도시 나가사키를 배경으로 한다.

나가사키는 일본에서 서양 문물을 제일 먼저 받아들인 곳으로,나가사키에 주둔 중인 미 해군 중위와 15살의 게이샤의 이야기를 담고 있다.

이들은 결혼까지 이르지만 미 해군 중위가 복무 기간이 끝나자 미국으로 돌아가고,overeem3년 뒤 다시 돌아와 아들을 데려간다.

이후 게이샤는 아들과 마지막 인사를 나누고 자결하는 내용이다.
