네이버웹툰의 모기업인 웹툰 엔터테인먼트가 현지시간 27일 뉴욕 증시에 상장했습니다.

뉴욕증시에서 웹툰 엔터테인먼트는 나스닥 거래 첫날인 이날 공모가보다 9.5% 높은 23.0달러에 거래를 마쳤습니다.

웹툰 엔터테인먼트는 이날 정오 무렵 거래를 개시한 개장 초 14%까지 상승폭을 높이기도 했습니다.

앞서 전날 웹툰 엔터테인먼트는 희망 범위 상단인 주당 21달러에 공모가격이 결정돼 현지 기관 투자자들의 높은 관심도를 반영하기도 했습니다.

희망범위 상단의 공모가격 결정에 이어 이날 첫 거래일 주가가 10% 가까이 급등하면서 나스닥 상장 흥행몰이에 성공한 분위기입니다.

첫 거래일 종가인 주당 23달러를 적용한 상장 후 기업가치는 약 29억 달러(약 4조 원)에 이를 것으로 추산됩니다.

이날 웹툰엔터테인먼트 상장 기념 타종행사에는 김준구 웹툰 엔터테인먼트 최고경영자(CEO)와 함께 네이버 창업자인 이해진 글로벌투자책임자(GIO)가 참석하기도 했습니다.

상장 완료 후에도 네이버의 웹툰 엔터테인먼트 지분은 63.4%로,50 라이온스 슬롯 무료 플레이지배주주로서 이사 선임 권한을 보유하게 됩니다.
