19일 강릉 동물보호소 '미소 사랑'은 최근 강릉 대관령휴게소 상행선 주차장 뒤편에서 버려진 리트리버가 끔찍한 상태로 발견됐다고 밝혔다.

단체가 공개한 영상을 보면 차량이 주차되어 있는 뒤편에 목줄을 찬 리트리버 한 마리가 옆으로 누워있다.리트리버는 숨을 헐떡이고 있고,카포스토어엉덩이와 등 쪽에는 수십 마리의 구더기가 살을 파고들어 우글거리는 모습이다.

단체 관계자는 "휴게소 뒤편에 버려진 것으로 추정되며,엉덩이와 등 쪽에 구더기가 바글거린 채 숨만 겨우 쉬면서 버티고 있었다.최소 35㎏은 되는 것 같다"고 설명했다.

그러면서 "바로 응급처치 후 구조해 입원 치료 들어갔다.현재 자궁축농증,카포스토어심장사상충 감염,카포스토어신부전,빈혈,탈수,카포스토어염증 등으로 힘들어하고 있다.꼭 이겨내 주길 바란다"고 현재 상태를 전했다.
