택배 노동자들이 내일(14일) 5번째 '택배 쉬는 날'에 쿠팡도 동참하라고 촉구하며 노동부에도 대책 마련을 촉구했습니다.

'택배노동자 과로사 대책위원회'는 서울 고용노동청 앞에서 기자회견을 열고 이같이 밝혔습니다.

대책위는 쿠팡은 자신들이 택배사업자가 아니라고 주장하지만 쿠팡CLS라는 택배자회사를 설립하고 소속 정규직 기사 대부분을 위수탁 택배노동자로 이전시켜 '택배 쉬는 날' 불참 사유가 없어졌다고 지적했습니다.

이들은 또 고용노동부는 2020년 '택배 쉬는 날'을 합의하고 2021년 과로사 방지를 위한 사회적 합의를 했던 당사자이자 주무 부처로서 쿠팡이 '택배 쉬는 날'과 사회적 합의에 동참토록 해야 할 책임이 있다고 밝혔습니다.

앞서 택배업계와 고용노동부는 지난 2020년 택배 종사자의 휴식 보장을 위해 8월 14일을 '택배 쉬는 날'로 지정하고 공동선언문을 발표했습니다.
