8일 일본 기상청,로체스터공과대학거대지진 가능성 밝혀

(서울=뉴스1) 장성희 기자 = 일본 난카이 해곡 지진으로 거대지진에 대한 우려가 나오자,로체스터공과대학행정안전부가 12일 이한경 재난관리본부장을 주재로 한 전문가 자문회의를 개최했다.

앞서 일본 기상청은 난카이 해곡을 따라 거대지진이 발생할 가능성이 평소보다 높다며 8일 지진 임시정보(거대지진 주의)를 발표했다.

이날 회의에 참석한 기상청 등 관계부처와 민간 전문가들은 지진·지진해일 대응체계를 점검하고 거대지진이 우리나라 내륙과 해역에 미칠 수 있는 영향을 논의했다.또 지진 잠재 위험에 대처하기 위한 방안도 함께 논의했다.

이 본부장은 "발생할 수 있는 지진에 대비해 국민 안전을 최우선으로 하는 방재 체계를 구축하겠다"며 "지진과 지진해일에 대한 행동 요령,로체스터공과대학주변 대피장소를 미리 숙지해달라"고 말했다.
