청주지법 형사5단독 정우혁 부장판사는 스토킹 범죄의 처벌 등에 관한 법률 위반 혐의로 재판에 넘겨진 A(27)씨에게 벌금 300만원을 선고했다고 오늘(13일) 밝혔습니다.

A씨는 지난해 6월 18일부터 약 한 달 동안 온라인 게임 속에서 만난 피해자 B씨에게 게임 실력을 비하하는 등의 메시지를 221회에 걸쳐 전송한 혐의를 받습니다.

앞서 A씨는 게임과 관련해 B씨에게 훈수하다가 차단을 당한 적도 있었지만 멈추지 않고 피해자 의사에 반해 반복적으로 메시지를 보냈습니다.

정 부장판사는 "피고인이 책임을 인정하나 계획적이고 악의적으로 이 사건 범행을 저지른 것으로 죄질이 좋지 않다"며 "용서받지 못한 점,무료 슬롯 머신 888초범인 점 등을 고려해 형을 정했다"며 양형 이유를 설명했습니다.
