소방당국 "매몰 가능성에 수색"

(청주=뉴스1) 박건영 기자 = 많은 비가 내리고 있는 충북 옥천에서 산 비탈면이 무너져 1명이 실종됐다는 신고가 접수돼 소방당국이 수색작업 중이다.

8일 경찰과 소방당국에 따르면 이날 오전 8시43분쯤 옥천군 옥천읍에서 "아침에 집 뒤편으로 배수로 점검을 나갔던 남편이 연락이 되지 않는다"는 아내의 신고가 접수됐다.

신고를 받고 경찰과 소방당국이 출동했을 당시 주택 뒤편의 산 비탈면이 무너져 주택가로 토사가 흘러 내려온 상태였다.

소방당국은 남편 A 씨가 토사에 매몰됐을 가능성이 있다고 보고 굴착기를 동원해 붕괴된 지점을 수색하고 있다.

현재 옥천에는 호우 경보가 발효 중이며,아디다스 럭비이날 자정부터 140㎜의 강한 비가 내렸다.
