그는 쿠웨이트 TV가 방송한 성명에서 "지금까지 41명이 사망했다.회사와 건물주들의 탐욕이 비극을 불렀다"고 탓했다.그는 또 법의학 증거팀이 조사를 마칠 때까지 건물주 등 관련자들을 구금할 것을 지시했다.
