일제강점기 강제 동원된 노동자들의 땀과 눈물이 깃든 공간이 국가등록문화유산이 됩니다.

국가유산청은 인천시 부평구에 있는 '미쓰비시 줄사택'을 국가등록문화유산으로 등재할 계획이라고 예고했습니다.

미쓰비시 줄사택은 일제강점기 일본 육군의 군수물자 공장이었던 미쓰비시 제강 인천제작소 노동자들이 강제 합숙 생활을 하던 공간입니다.

국가유산청은 광복 후에도 도시 노동자를 비롯한 다양한 계층의 주거 공간으로 활용되면서 역사적 가치가 높다고 설명했습니다.

국가유산청은 또 전북 부안군의 유생 기행현이 1866년부터 1911년까지 45년간 작성한 일기인 '홍재일기'도 국가등록문화유산으로 예고했습니다.

홍재일기에는 동학농민혁명의 시작을 알린 백산대회 기록 등 당시의 시대 상황을 살펴볼 수 있는 중요 자료로 평가됩니다.
