궁궐 안에 있던 의료기관,창덕궁 약방이 개방된다.

국가유산청 궁능유적본부는 오는 17일부터 8월 18일까지 매주 수∼일요일에 창덕궁 약방을 개방한다고 12일 밝혔다.

창덕궁 약방 부속건물 국가유산청 제공약방은 궁궐 안에 있는 의료기관으로 내의원 또는 내약방으로 불렸다.왕실이 쓰는 약재를 관장하던 곳으로 의료행정 기관인 전의감,2028 올림픽 야구백성의 치료를 담당했던 혜민서와 함께 조선의 대표적인 의료기관으로 여겨진다.

창덕궁 궐내각사 권역에 있는 약방은 복원을 마친 2005년부터 전시·행사 공간으로 쓰이고 있다.

약방 관람객들은 약탕 조제 도구,약재를 넣어두는 약장 등을 살펴보고 오후 1시부터 제호탕(매실 껍질을 벗겨 연기에 그을려 말린 오매육,2028 올림픽 야구사인,2028 올림픽 야구백단향,2028 올림픽 야구초과 등을 곱게 가루로 만들어 꿀에 버무려 끓였다가 냉수에 타서 먹는 한방 청량 음료),2028 올림픽 야구영조가 평소 즐겨마셨다는 오미자 음료를 시음할 수 있다.더위와 열을 식히고 갈증을 해소하는 역할을 한다고 전한다.매주 금·토요일에는 약초를 활용한 향주머니를 만드는 체험도 열린다.창덕궁을 찾는 누구나 약방을 자유롭게 둘러볼 수 있다.

다양한 소책자 국가유산청 제공외국인 관람객을 위한 다국어 소책자도 마련됐다.

창덕궁관리소 관계자는 “폭염을 피해 잠시 쉬어가면서 궁중문화를 직·간접적으로 느낄 수 있기를 바란다”고 말했다.
