기상청 자료를 보면,군산 옥도면 어청도에는 어제(9일) 밤 11시 51분부터 1시간 동안 146㎜의 강한 비가 내렸습니다.

자동기상관측 자료이라 비공인이지만,공식 최대 기록인 1988년 7월 31일 전남 순천 1시간에 145㎜를 넘어선 양입니다.

전체 내린 비의 양도 오늘까지 이틀 동안 294.5㎜로 집계됐습니다.

김성래 어청도 이장은 "살면서 본 적 없는 비였다"며 "밤새 주민들을 대피시켰다"고 말했습니다.

김 이장이 촬영한 영상을 보면,장대비가 쏟아지면서 거리에 물이 가득 차고 맨홀도 역류합니다.

또,집 안으로 흙탕물이 거세게 밀려듭니다.

어청도는 군산항에서 뱃길로 2시간 떨어진 섬으로 주민 400여 명이 살고 있습니다.

김 이장은 "이번 비로 주택 20여 채가 물에 잠기는 피해를 봤으며,날이 밝으면서 주민들이 물에 젖은 장판 등을 꺼내 닦고 있지만,루카스 에르난데스어떻게 수습해야 할지 모르겠다"고 어려움을 호소했습니다.

날이 밝은 뒤에 촬영된 사진에는 도로와 주택 마당에 아직도 물이 완전히 빠지지 않은 모습입니다.

섬이라는 특성상 복구 작업에 중장비 등을 빠르게 동원하기도 어려운 상황입니다.

게다가 풍랑주의보가 발효돼 오늘(10일) 하루 군산과 어청도를 오가는 여객선까지 통제돼 복구 작업에 어려움을 겪고 있습니다.
