최근 인천의 한 아파트에서 발생한 전기차 화재로 전국에서 전기차 공포가 확산하고 있습니다.

부산시는 전기차 충전시설 지상 설치와 화재 진압 장비 확대 등 관련 대응책 마련에 나섰습니다.

이준석 기자가 보도합니다.

하얀 연기를 내뿜는 전기차.

큰 폭발과 함께 순식간에 불길에 휩싸입니다.

아파트 지하에 주차된 차 100여 대가 탔고,아시안컵 역대 대한민국이재민만 8백여 명이 발생했습니다.

부산에서 전기차 충전 시설을 갖춘 아파트는 천5백 단지가 넘습니다.

특히 전체 충전기 수 2만여 기 중 85%가 지하에 설치돼 있습니다.

지하는 밀폐된 공간 탓에 화재 피해가 커질 수밖에 없고 소방차 진입이 어려워 화재 진압에 애를 먹습니다.

또 대부분 전기차 구역이 분산 배치돼 있는데 한곳으로 모아야 한다는 지적도 나옵니다.

[이재영/동의대 소방방재행정학과 교수 : "같은 공간 안에 전기차가 주차돼 있어 한 곳만 집중해서 관리 감독하면 화재를 빠르게 인식하고 관할 소방서에 연락을 취할 수 있다…."]

전기차 화재 공포가 확산하자 부산시도 대책 마련에 나섰습니다.

우선 조례를 개정해 신축 아파트 건립 시 지상에 전기차 충전기 설치하도록 권장한다는 방침입니다.

또 '과충전'을 막기 위해 화재예방형 충전기 3천여 기를 올해까지 아파트에 보급합니다.

전기차 화재 진압 대응을 신속히 하기 위해 화재 진압용 장비도 140개 추가로 확보해 소방서에 배치합니다.

[박희곤/부산소방재난본부 방호계장 : "부산시에서 예비비로 지원된다면 센터별로 (전기차 진압용 장비를) 한 대씩 배치해서 전기차 화재에 신속 대응이 가능할 것으로 판단됩니다."]

다음 달 정부가 전기차 화재 예방·대응책을 내놓기로 한 가운데,아시안컵 역대 대한민국부산시는 전기차 화재 예방 전담팀을 꾸려 점검을 강화하기로 했습니다.
