내년 하반기 부산 오시리아 관광단지 내에 자율주행 셔틀버스가 시범운행된다.

부산시는 내년 하반기에 자율주행자동차 시범운행지구로 지정된 오시리아 관광단지 일원에서 '자율주행 셔틀버스'를 운행한다고 28일 밝혔다.

시는 총사업비 94억원(국비 65억원,네임드 바카라시비 29억원)을 투입해 오시리아 관광단지 일원 6개 도로(총 4.75km)에 '자율주행 셔틀버스' 4대를 운행할 계획이다.

'자율주행 셔틀버스'는 탑승객 등의 안전성 확보를 위해 시험운전자가 탑승해 시스템 요청 시 운전자가 개입하는 방식으로,도로에서 일반 차와 혼재 운행된다.

운행구간에는 차량 및 도로 관제를 위한 정밀지도기반 관제 플랫폼과 신호 상태,돌발,보행자 정보를 수집·제공하는 스마트 도로를 구축해 자율주행 셔틀버스의 안전 운행을 지원한다.

자율주행 여객 서비스는 시뮬레이션,테스트베드,시운전,시범운행 등을 단계적으로 수행해 운행구간에서 충분한 테스트 후 실시할 예정이며 시기는 2025년 하반기로 예상하고 있다.

시는 경쟁입찰을 통해 '엘지(LG)유플러스 컨소시엄'을 사업자로 선정했으며 오는 7월에 용역을 착수해 내년 12월까지 총 18개월 동안 오시리아 관광단지 일원에 자율주행 서비스를 위한 기반 시설 조성 및 시범운행,서비스 운영 등 사업의 전반적인 내용을 수행할 예정이다.

권기혁 부산시 교통정책과장은 “이번 사업이 대중교통친화형 15분 정책과 발맞춰 시범 운영에서 그치지 않고 부산 대중교통의 한 축으로 자리매김해 미래 대중교통 도시 실현에 이바지하기를 기대한다”라고 밝혔다.
