故 대전용산초 교사 순직 인정 촉구

(대전=연합뉴스) 이주형 기자 = 수년간 학부모로부터 악성 민원에 시달리다 사망한 고(故) 대전용산초 교사 A씨에 대한 순직이 결정됐다.

25일 대전교육청에 따르면 인사혁신처 공무원재해보상심의회에서는 이날 순직유족급여 심의 '가결' 결정을 A씨 유족에게 통보했다.

지난해 12월 유족이 순직 청구를 한 지 6개월여 만으로,울산 제일공업사인사혁신처는 지난 19일 A씨에 대한 공무원재해보상 심의회를 열고 순직을 결정했다.

대전용산초 교사 A씨는 지난해 9월 극단적 선택을 해 병원으로 옮겨졌으나 이틀 만에 숨졌다.

대전교사노조와 동료 교사들에 따르면 그는 2019년 유성구 한 초등학교에서 근무하던 중 친구를 폭행한 학생을 교장실에 보냈다는 이유 등으로 해당 학부모로부터 아동학대 고소를 당하고 검찰 조사 결과 무혐의 처분을 받았음에도 수년간 악성 민원에 시달려 왔다.
