[헤럴드경제=양대근 기자] 베트남이 인센티브 제공 부족으로 인텔과 LG화학 등으로부터 수십억 달러 규모 투자를 받을 기회를 놓쳤다고 로이터통신이 보도했다.

로이터는 “지난달 29일자 베트남 기획투자부 문서에 실린 내용”이라며 5일(현지시간) 이같이 전했다.

보도에 따르면 미국 반도체기업 인텔은 베트남에 33억 달러(4조5623억원) 투자를 제안하며 15%‘현금 지원’을 요청했지만,제1113회로또당첨번호결국 사업지를 폴란드로 정했다.

배터리 사업과 관련해 투자 비용 30% 지원을 요청했던 LG화학은 베트남 대신 인도네시아를 택했다고 기획투자부는 설명했다.

이 밖에 문서에는 오스트리아 반도체기업 AT&S이 베트남에서 지원 요청이 받아들여지지 않아 말레이시아 투자를 결정했으며,삼성전자도 일부 생산을 인도로 옮겼다고 적혀있다.

기획투자부는 해당 문서에서 "최근 여러 대기업이 베트남 투자 기회를 모색하고 있지만,제1113회로또당첨번호투자 지원에 관한 규정이 부족해 다른 국가로 발길을 돌리고 있다"고 지적했다.

베트남에서는 올해부터 글로벌 최저 법인세(최저한세) 정책이 시행돼 외국 기업 부담이 늘어나게 된다.

조세 회피를 방지하기 위한 글로벌 최저한세는 다국적기업 소득에 대해 특정 국가에서 최저 세율(15%)보다 낮은 실제 세율이 적용될 경우 다른 국가가 그만큼 추가로 과세할 수 있도록 하는 제도다.

베트남 정부는 세금 부담이 늘어나는 자국 진출 외국 기업을 위한 '베트남 투자지원 펀드' 조성 등 지원 계획을 마련 중이다.
