많은 관광객 유입으로 인한 주민들 불편 민원이 이어지면서 서울 종로구가 '북촌한옥마을'을 전국 최초의 '특별관리지역'으로 지정했다고 밝혔습니다.

종로구는 주민 불편 수준에 따라 레드존과 오렌지존 등으로 지역을 분류했으며 레드존으로 지정된 북촌로 11길은 관광객 방문 시간을 오전 10시부터 오후 5시까지로 한정됩니다.

특별관리지역으로 지정하면 이처럼 방문 시간을 제한하거나,유화 ㄲㅈ차량 제한 등이 가능하고 위반 시 과태료도 부과할 수 있습니다.

종로구는 올 하반기 조례 개정을 마치면 10월부터 계도기간을 거쳐 내년 3월부터 시간 외 제한을 본격적으로 시행할 예정입니다.
