이른바 '경기도 법인카드 유용 의혹'과 관련해,개수 제한 없는 룰렛검찰이 이재명 전 더불어민주당 대표 부부에게 소환을 통보했습니다.

민주당은 "국면전환 쇼"라며 강하게 비판했습니다.

경기도 법인카드 유용 의혹을 수사하고 있는 검찰이 이재명 전 더불어민주당 대표 부부에게 소환 조사를 통보했습니다.

수원지검 공공수사부는 지난 4일 업무상 배임 등의 혐의를 받는 이 전 대표 측에 출석을 요구했다고 밝혔습니다.

출석 일정은 추후 협의하기로 한 것으로 전해졌습니다.

검찰은 "형사소송법에 근거한 통상의 수사 절차"라며 "고발된 혐의 사실에 관해 당사자의 진술을 듣고 소명할 기회를 주는 차원"이라고 설명했습니다.

경기도 법인카드 유용 의혹은 전 경기도 7급 공무원 조명현 씨가 언론에 제보하면서 처음 알려졌습니다.

이 전 대표의 경기도지사 시절,개수 제한 없는 룰렛배우자 김혜경 씨가 당시 도청 별정직 공무원인 배 모 씨에게 음식값 등을 법인카드로 결제하도록 해 경기도 예산을 사적으로 유용했다는 겁니다.

조 씨는 또 지난해 8월에는 국민권익위원회에 이 전 대표가 이를 알고도 묵인했다며 신고했습니다.

더불어민주당은 검찰이 이 전 대표 부부에게 출석요구서를 보낸 날이 국회에서 채상병특검법이 통과된 날이라며 "국면전환 쇼"라고 비판했습니다.

[김승원/더불어민주당 의원 : "이번 출석 요구는 정권에 대한 국민의 분노와 검찰 리스크를 동시에 덮기 위한 국면 전환 쇼로 볼 수밖에 없습니다."]

그러면서 "정권 수호를 위한 방탄 수사를 즉각 중단하라"고 주장했습니다.
