경찰 "국과수에 부검 의뢰"

12일 오전 전북특별자치도 소방본부 소속 소방관들이 지난 10일 익산시 금마면의 한 펜션으로 동아리 엠티(MT)를 왔다가 실종된 대학생을 찾기 위해 익산천 주변 수풀과 수로 등을 수색하고 있다.연합뉴스

폭우 속 전북 익산으로 MT를 왔다가 실종된 의대생이 12일실종된 지 약 55시간 만에 끝내 숨진 채 발견됐다.

익산경찰서에 따르면 경찰과 소방 당국은 이날 오전 11시 11분쯤 익산천 창평교 인근에서 A(22)씨의 시신을 발견했다.

경찰 관계자는 "실종자와 시신 지문이 일치한다"고 밝혔다.

도내 한 의과대학에 다니는 A씨는 지난 10일 오전 4시쯤 익산 금마면의 한 펜션에 머무르다가 밖으로 나간 뒤 연락이 끊겼다.

당시 이 일대에는 호우 특보가 발효돼 시간당 60∼80㎜의 비가 쏟아진 것으로 알려졌다.

A씨와 함께 MT를 갔던 같은 학교 동아리 학생 20여 명은 술을 마시다가 잠이 들었다.

이후 잠에서 깬 학생들은 A씨가 사라진 것을 확인하고 같은 날 오전 11시쯤 "새벽에 친구가 숙소 밖으로 나갔는데 연락이 안 된다"고 112에 신고했다.

경찰은 이날 익산천 수풀에서 A씨의 신발을 발견했고 하천 주변을 집중 수색했다.

경찰은 국립과학수사원에 시신 부검을 의뢰하는 한편,제주반도체 동행복권사망 원인을 조사할 계획이다.
