현대백화점은 오는 28일 더현대 서울을 시작으로 오는 8월 말까지 전국 16개 점포를 이탈리아 남부 대표 휴양지 포지타노처럼 꾸민다.

'여름 휴가철은 백화점 비수기'라는 공식을 깨기 위해 매년 여름 시그니처 테마 행사를 열고 '바캉스 인증샷 성지'가 되는 것이 목표라고 현대백화점은 설명했다.

더현대 서울의 3천300㎡ 규모 실내정원 사운즈포레스트에는 대형 태양 조형물과 레몬나무,벳365 가상축구 결과노란 줄무늬 패턴의 파라솔과 선베드를 설치하고 중앙 공간은 포지타노 골목길 여름 마켓처럼 상점이 들어선다.

상점에서는 수제 젤라또 '비비도따',주방가구 'TVS',벳365 가상축구 결과스쿠터 '베스파' 등 15개 이탈리아 현지 브랜드 제품을 선보이고,이탈리아인 직원들도 투입돼 바캉스 분위기를 띄운다.

무역센터점은 세계적 일러스트 작가 마리 도아장(Marie Doazan)이 포지타노 마을 풍경을 모티브로 푸른 지중해와 깎아내린 듯한 절벽,레몬나무가 어우러지도록 제작한 그래픽으로 점포 외벽을 채운다.

현대백화점 영업전략실 문화콘텐츠팀과 디자인팀은 주한이탈리아대사관과 무역공사·상공회의소·문화원·관광청 등 5개 관련 기관과 협업해 포지타노 분위기 연출을 준비했다.

그밖에 포지타노 해변 거리 악사를 콘셉트로 한 클래식 거리공연과 이탈리아 요리·전통공예 등 이탈리아 문화를 체험할 수 있는 콘텐츠가 전국 16개 점포에 다양하게 준비됐다.

현대백화점 관계자는 "앞으로 매년 여름 프랑스와 스페인 등 세계 각국 해외 유명 휴양지 테마를 선보일 것"이라며 "크리스마스 못지않은 바캉스 인증샷 성지가 되도록 차별화된 콘텐츠를 선사하면서 오프라인 리테일 공간이 가진 경험의 가치를 극대화하고자 한다"고 말했다
