난카이 해곡 대지진 임시 정보 발표

(도쿄=연합뉴스) 박상현 특파원 = 일본 정부가 지난 8일 발표했던 '난카이 해곡 지진 임시 정보(거대 지진 주의)'를 15일 오후 5시에 해제했다.

교도통신과 현지 공영방송 NHK에 따르면 일본 기상청은 대지진 관련 이상 현상이 관측되지 않았다면서 이같이 밝혔다.

앞서 일본 기상청은 이달 8일 규슈 남부 미야자키현 니치난시 앞바다에서 규모 7.1의 지진이 일어나자 '난카이 해곡 대지진' 발생 확률이 높아졌다고 판단해 임시 정보를 발표했다.

난카이 해곡 대지진은 수도권 서쪽인 시즈오카현 앞바다에서 시코쿠 남부,u20 월드컵 포르투갈규슈 동부 해역까지 이어진 난카이 해곡에서 100∼150년 간격으로 발생한다는 대형 지진이다.

일본 정부는 규모 8∼9 정도의 난카이 해곡 대지진이 30년 이내에 발생할 확률을 70∼80%로 보고 있다.

이 지진이 일어나면 최대 23만여 명에 달하는 사망자와 실종자가 나오고 건물 209만 채가 파손될 것이라는 분석이 제기된 바 있다.

일본 정부는 이날 임시 정보 종료를 선언하면서 거대지진이 일어날 가능성이 완전히 없어진 것이 아니므로 앞으로도 대피 경로 확인,u20 월드컵 포르투갈식료품 비축 등을 해 달라고 당부했다.

마쓰무라 요시후미 방재상은 취재진에 "평상시에도 대비를 계속해서 실시해 달라"고 말했다.
