(뉴욕=연합뉴스) 이지헌 특파원 = 네이버웹툰의 모기업인 웹툰엔터테인먼트가 27일(현지시간) 뉴욕 증시 상장 첫날 장중 10% 급등하며 성공적인 데뷔를 알렸다.

뉴욕증시에서 웹툰엔터테인먼트(종목 코드 'WBTN')는 이날 정오 무렵 공모가보다 0.3달러 높은 21.3달러를 개장가로 거래를 시작했다.

상장 직후인 낮 12시 16분께 웹툰엔터테인먼트는 개장가보다 10.5% 높은 23.2달러에 거래됐다.

전날 웹툰 엔터테인먼트는 공모가격 희망 범위 상단인 주당 21달러에 공모가격이 결정됐다.

현지 기관 투자자들의 높은 관심도를 반영해 희망 가격 최상단의 공모가가 결정된 데 이어 이날 상장 후 첫 거래일의 거래도 흥행몰이에 성공한 듯한 분위기다.

웹툰 엔터테인먼트는 이번 기업공개(IPO)를 통해 보통주 1천500만주를 발행,카페아스타나키즈공모가 적용 시 3억1천500만 달러(약 4천400억원)를 조달할 것으로 전망된다.

개장 초반 거래가격인 주당 23달러를 적용한 상장 후 기업가치는 약 29억2달러(약 4조원)에 이를 것으로 추산된다.

상장 완료 후에도 네이버의 웹툰 엔터테인먼트 지분은 63.4%로,카페아스타나키즈지배주주로서 이사 선임 권한을 보유하게 된다.

웹툰 엔터테인먼트는 2020년 한국 네이버웹툰,카페아스타나키즈일본 라인 디지털 프론티어와 지분 구조 조정을 거쳐 현재의 형태가 됐다.
