화성 화재 사망자 신원 확인 작업이 속도를 내고 있습니다.

숨진 희생자 23명 가운데 지금까지 17명의 신원이 확인됐습니다.

송명희기자가 보도합니다.

[리포트]

리튬전지 업체 아리셀 공장 화재 현장에서 수습한 사망자 3명의 신원이 추가로 확인됐습니다.

이로써 사망자 23명의 시신 가운데 17명의 신원이 확인됐습니다.

[민길수/고용노동부 지역사고수습본부장 : "사망자의 국적별로 보면 한국 4분,중국 12분,토토 놀이터라오스 1분입니다.성별로 보면 남자 5분,토토 놀이터여자 12분입니다."]

추가로 신원이 확인된 3명 가운데 2명은 직계 가족의 DNA 대조가 아닌 평소 사용하던 칫솔 등 생활용품에서 채취한 DNA의 감정을 통해 확인했습니다.

지금까지 신원이 확인된 사망자의 시신은 모두 유족들에게 통보됐습니다.

6명은 아직 신원이 확인되지 않았지만 확인을 위한 대조 시료를 모두 채취한 만큼,토토 놀이터조만간 신원 확인 작업이 완료될 것으로 보입니다.

사고 원인을 밝히기 위한 수사도 속도를 내고 있습니다.

경기고용노동지청과 경기남부경찰청은 어제 오후 4시부터 오늘 새벽 0시 30분까지 이번 사고와 관련된 기업을 상대로 압수수색을 실시했습니다.

또 안전한 대피 등 화재 상황에 대비한 관리체계 구축과 이행이 적정했는지 등 중대재해처벌법과 산업안전보건법 상 책임소재를 밝히기 위해 증거 자료 등을 면밀하게 확인·분석하고 있습니다.
