[연합뉴스] 올 상반기 여행수지가 상반기 기준으로 6년 만에 최대 적자를 기록했다.

15일 한국은행과 한국관광공사에 따르면 올해 상반기 여행수지는 64억8000만달러 적자를 보였다.이는 상반기 기준으로 2018년(-78억3000만달러) 이후 6년 만에 가장 큰 규모의 적자다.

올해 상반기 외국인이 국내에서 소비한 여행 수입은 78억4000만달러에 그쳤고 내국인이 외국에서 쓴 여행 지급은 143억2000만달러에 달했다.외국인이 국내에 들어와 쓴 돈보다 한국인이 해외에 나가서 쓴 돈이 더 많았다는 얘기다.

여행수지 적자 규모는 상반기 기준으로 2018년 78억달러에서 2019년 57억달러로 줄었다가 코로나19 사태 첫해인 2020년 29억달러로 더 감소했다.2021년 35억달러로 증가세로 돌아섰고 2022년에도 35억달러로 비슷한 수준을 유지하다가 지난해 58억달러로 늘어난 데 이어 올해 더 증가했다.

올 상반기 해외로 나간 우리 국민은 1402만명으로 한국을 찾은 외국인 관광객(770만명)보다 82.1% 많았다.해외로 나간 우리 국민은 코로나19 사태 전인 2019년 상반기와 비교해 93.4% 수준까지 회복했고 한국을 찾은 관광객도 91.3% 수준까지 늘어났다.

하지만 씀씀이는 달랐다.올해 상반기 해외로 나간 우리 국민이 쓴 여행 지급은 2019년 상반기와 비교해 89.2% 수준으로 늘었지만,kbo리그 6월 월간 mvp외국인 관광객이 국내에서 쓴 여행 수입은 75.4% 회복하는 데 그쳤다.예전에 비해 외국인 관광객이 국내에서 쓴 돈이 줄어든 것이다.

이에 문화체육관광부도 단순히 외국인 관광객 수를 늘리기보다 한 사람이 들어와도 더 많은 돈을 쓸 수 있도록 고부가가치 관광을 강화하고 있다.

한편 일본의 경우 올해 상반기 여행수지 흑자 규모가 2조5939억엔으로 역대 최대를 기록했다고 교도통신은 전했다.상반기 일본에 입국한 외국인은 1778만명으로 역대 최대다.이중 한국인이 444만명으로 25.0%를 차지했다.일본 방문 외국인 4명 중 1명이 한국인이었다.
