전두환 신군부 세력이 일으킨 12.12 군사반란을 다룬 영화 서울의봄.

직속상관인 특전사령관을 체포하러 간 공수여단장의 실존 모델은 최세창 당시 3공수여단장입니다.

3공수여단은 5.18 때 시민들을 향해 집단 발포한 부대입니다.

5.18민주화운동 진상규명조사위원회가 최세창 등 당시 군 지휘부와 계엄군 14명을 검찰에 고발했습니다.

먼저 송암동과 주남마을 민간인 살해에 가담한 계엄군 9명은 집단살해죄로 고발했습니다.

대검으로 찌르고 소총을 집단 발포해 최소 25명의 민간인이 희생된 것으로 조사됐습니다.

정호용 특전사령관과 최세창,피파 팀 월드컵신우식,피파 팀 월드컵최웅 공수여단장 등 지휘부 6명은 전남도청을 사수하던 시민군을 무력 진압한 책임을 물어 내란목적살인죄로 고발했습니다.

정 사령관의 경우 1997년 전두환·노태우 등 신군부 수뇌부와 함께 처벌을 받았지만,피파 팀 월드컵조사위는 7명의 희생자가 새로 확인된 만큼 추가 형사처벌이 가능하다는 입장입니다.

전두환도 추가 고발 대상이지만 이미 사망해 이름을 올리지는 않았습니다.

5.18 기념재단은 "뒤늦은 감이 있지만 환영한다"는 성명을 내고 검찰에 신속,엄정 수사를 촉구했습니다.
