8일 법조계 등에 따르면 대구지검 상주지청은 어머니를 흉기로 살해한 혐의를 받는 30대 아들 A씨를 구속기소 했다.

A씨는 지난달 10일 오전 4시쯤 경북 상주시 한 식당에서 잠을 자던 자신의 50대 어머니 B씨를 목 졸라 기절시키고 흉기로 살해한 혐의를 받는다.

그는 평소 B씨에게 자주 꾸지람을 듣자 이에 불만을 품었다가 범행을 저지른 것으로 조사됐다.

A씨는 범행 이후 도주했으나 경찰의 추적 끝에 대구시 수성구 수성못 인근에서 붙잡혔다.

검찰 관계자는 "A씨에게 범죄에 상응하는 중형이 선고될 수 있도록 공소 유지에 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.
