25일 서울 외환시장에서 원·달러 환율은 전일 종가 대비 4.0원 오른 1391.5원에 개장했다.이후 1390원 선에서 움직이고 있다.

간밤 연준 인사들의 매파적 발언과 경계론에 달러 강세가 이어진 영향으로 풀이된다.달러 인덱스는 25일(현지시간) 105.67로 전날 장 마감보다 0.22포인트 올랐다.

아시아 통화 약세도 이어졌다.달러·엔 환율은 159엔 후반대로 160엔에 육박했고,토닥이 에이스달러·위안 환율도 7.28위안대를 보이고 있다.

유럽중앙은행과 캐나다 등 주요국의 금리 인하도 달러 강세 요인으로 작용했다.지난주 스위스중앙은행(SNB)이 정책금리를 0.25%포인트 내렸고,토닥이 에이스영란은행(BOE)은 금리를 동결하면서도 소비자물가지수(CPI) 상승률이 2.0%에 안착하면서 8월 회의에서 금리 인하 관측이 높아졌다.

통상 환율이 뛰면 외국인들의 환손실이 늘어나 매도 압력이 높아진다.최근도 국내 증시에서 외국인 자금 이탈이 이어지면서 코스피가 약세를 보이고 있다.
