[서울=뉴시스]송연주 기자 = 바이오 기업 셀트리온은 자가면역질환 치료제 '코센틱스'(성분명 세쿠키누맙) 바이오시밀러 'CT-P55'의 글로벌 임상 3상 진행을 위한 임상시험계획서(IND)를 미국 식품의약국(FDA)에 제출했다고 2일 밝혔다.

이번 글로벌 임상은 판상형 건선 환자 375명을 대상으로 오리지널 의약품과 CT-P55 간 유효성 및 안전성 동등성 입증을 위한 비교 연구다.

코센틱스는 인터루킨(IL)-17A 억제제로 강직성 척추염,건선성 관절염,2024 k1리그중등증·중증 판상 건선 등 자가면역질환에 사용되는 치료제다.코센틱스의 지난해 기준 글로벌 시장 매출은 약 49억8000만 달러(약 6조4740억원)에 달한다.미국에서 2029년 1월,2024 k1리그유럽에서 2030년 7월 물질특허가 만료될 예정이다.

CT-P55는 셀트리온의 신규 자가면역질환 바이오시밀러 파이프라인으로,지난해 12월 일본 의약품의료기기종합기구(PMDA)로부터 1상 계획을 승인받아 임상을 진행하고 있다.

최근에는 인터루킨-12·23 억제제인 스텔라라 바이오시밀러 '스테키마'의 허가를 획득,램시마,램시마SC(미국 제품명 짐펜트라),유플라이마 등 기존 상업화를 완료한 제품에 더해 자가면역질환 포트폴리오를 구축하게 됐다．
