지난달 30일(이하 현지시각) 로이터에 따르면 중국의 민간투자 항공우주 기업 베이징 톈빙 테크놀로지(스페이스 파이오니어)는 이날 중국 허난성 궁이시 종합시험센터에서 자사 개발 2단 로켓 톈룽 3호 (TL-3)의 1단 동력 엔진을 실험했다.

해당 로켓은 1단의 구조 결함으로 인해 발사대에서 로켓이 분리돼 궁이시 구릉지에 추락했다.점화는 정상적으로 됐지만 이후 1단 연결부에 이상이 발생해 로켓이 비정상적으로 분리됐고 결국 추락한 것으로 알려졌다.

회사는 실험장소가 시내에서 먼데다가 현지 당국과 미리 안전 점검을 마쳤고 추락 후 초기 조사 중 사상자는 보고되지 않았다고 밝혔다.

소방당국은 화재를 진압했으며 인명 피해는 없다고 말했다.

톈룽 3호는 미국 우주항공 기업 스페이스 엑스의 주력 2단 발사 팰컨 9과 유사한 구조·성능을 가진것으로 알려졌다.재사용 로켓으로 유명한 팰컨 9처럼 톈룽 3호역시 부분적이나 재사용할 수 있다.

이날 바이두에는 궁이시 산속으로 추락하는 톈징 3호의 영상이 올라왔다.해당 영상에는 로켓 부품이 땅에 충돌하자마자 불기둥이 솟아오르는 모습이 담겨있다.
